Hubby says time to get another part time job.  Even though the payments equal out to the bills we are used to paying now.  He isn’t the type to just sit still.

He couldn’t stay at the zoo because of the filth, it was ruining his health.

The doctor called today but I wasn’t near the phone.  Hubby def.  has sleep apnea.  Looks like it will be his and her sleep apnea machines.  (CPAP)  Next step is to call the pulmonary specialist to schedule a appointment so he can go back for another sleep study to get fitted for his machine.

If he gets a machine that has a battery backup on his, I am going to find a way to get a new machine with a battery backup because when the power goes out I have a hard time sleeping because I have sleep apnea so bad.  Though I am suppose to go back in for another test to see if my meters need to be upped. Right now I am at 7 meters.  I think I can stand to have it set up a few more notches.  I can tell them my machine is acting up.

People make a big deal about having to use the sleep apnea machines.  I don’t see a problem with it.  Maybe I am just weird and like things shoved up my nose.  lol.

I have been calling and emailing and even stopped into one dealership to see who will give us the best deal on a smaller  pickup.

So far the one who seems to want to give us the best deal is in Baltimore.

Another place near our house is helping too.  My dad worked with one of the salesman.

I know since I have been emailing the phone started ringing before 9am this morning and if people that read my blogs don’t know it, they do now.  I like to sleep until at least 2pm.

We are due to go down and look at something in Baltimore on Saturday at 1pm.  Hubby likes me to get the paperwork all squared away so all he has to do is go in and sign on the dotted line and drive away.

Last Saturday hubby had to sleep at the hospital.  He had a sleep study done for sleep apnea.  He will find out the results of that on Thursday.

He quit the zoo for his own health.  Every weekend he went in there the place was infested with mouse droppings.  He kept getting sick and we thought he was getting the flu again.  After checking things out we found out he was getting sick from being around the mouse droppings.  Its called HPS.  http://www.cdc.gov/ncidod/diseases/hanta/hps/noframes/HPS_WhatYouNeedToKnow.pdf  He still has a cough but it is going away more and more each day.

We also went shopping for a new air conditioner last Saturday.  They were having a sale at Home Depot.  Our old AC is over 30 years old and I did not want to get stuck in a heat wave and have the damn thing go out on us.

We played playdoh.

We went to the park and I watch them play on the playground,  ride their bikes and I took a few photo’s.

Came home watched some cartoons with them.

Cooked on the grill.

Today,  CANNOT MOVE.  It was all I could take to get to the PC.

I don’t even know if I can get to Aquatic Therapy tomorrow.  I doubt, I can go down the steps of my apartment.

So if you don’t see me around, it is because I can not get out of bed.  I have to literally tell my legs to move.

How pathetic is that.

One day the cat and squirrel were playing tag in the house.  They were chasing each other around.  My mom has gone into her bedroom several times and the squirrel is snoozing in the middle of her bed.  Every time the door opens the squirrel makes a run shot in the house.  My mom will tell it, you don’t live here and point towards the door and it will go back out.  But sometimes it makes its way back in and we haven’t a clue how.

It isn’t destructive or anything, it acts like it wants to be a part of the family.  When I have had my door open and the screen door shut it will come upstairs and look in and my cat looks like WTF you doing here. My cat is a indoor cat so she doesn’t understand when things come to the door.

My parents cat when it goes outside we have seen the cat and the squirrel rubbing noses.  Today I opened the door to go outside to take down the clothes and darn if the squirrel didn’t run inside quick when that door opened.  If it is outside and we are all inside it will come and scratch at the patio door.

The doctor I was doing the website for liked the website.  I am waiting for pictures of the staff from the doctor so I can put them up.

I need to concentrate now on the phpcow site since it needs alot of attention.

I also have to figure out how to do some more things to Maryland Chat Forum.  The newspaper ad was a bust.  I didn’t get one new person signed up.   Only thing visiting the website is spiders and bots.  I wish I knew how to do updates to the website.  Websites like that makes me feel stupid.

May tends to make me be scarce around people because I get depressed around Mothers Day.  Seeing how my kids ignore me,  it is just another reminder that rips my heart out.  I tend to go hide and withdraw inside myself.  So if you don’t see me around that is why.  I am not even sure what day Mothers Day is on because I don’t even want to know.

Tomorrow is my first day in the pool for Aquatic Therapy. I am looking forward to that.  I am hoping it helps and does not put a lot of pressure that will go into my brain.   The physical therapist are top notch so I am sure they will be watching out for things like that.  Also I will be getting my TENS machine which will be awesome.

Hubby is getting over the flu and a bad back from taking a 100 pound turtle in and out of the barn on Sunday at the Zoo.   He took off work Monday but went back to work yesterday.  The flu seems to be letting up but the back still has him hobbling around.

Yesterday my sister was up from Baltimore with her twin granddaughters.  Those little rugrats are four years old.  They were 3 months premature.  My sister just moved up with her family from Florida in Feb.  so I never really met the twins until recently.   They are fun to hang out with.  Yesterday we colored and made things with playdoh.   The next time they come up if it is warming I told them to bring their bikes and we would go to the park.  It has to be pretty warm to go to the park because the park is right by the water.   One of the twins has asthma so I want to make sure that it is warm enough for her.   I still have to ask them who is who because they look so much alike.

Hubbys college loans are paid off.  We thought they would not be paid off until June but we found out Monday that they are paid off.  That is a big relief.  With the way gas prices went up it was all we could do to have food money.

Since hubby works 7 days a week and I can’t lift, I had to get a personal shopper to do my grocer shopping.   Our hairdresser that comes to our house to give us haircuts (hubbys hair grows fast, he needs a haircut every two weeks) loves to shop with coupons and  is so good at it that she can shop for next to nothing.  So she is going to be my shopper.  Now all I need is a maid.  LOL.  Actually a good vacuum would do.  Carpet and 20 some birds don’t mix.  I want to eventually put in hardwood floors and get rid of the carpet.

Since hubbys loan is paid off he is talking about working less on the weekends. I hope he does.  He works to much.  He needs time to do things he likes to do, like run, mountain bike ride, kayak, walking.

Me, the reason I went is because I need to start doing physical therapy again and I found out that the PT place that just opened up in our little hick town has aquatic therapy.  Since I can’t do any other therapy I thought aquatic would be the way to go.  My worst thing about going to the doctors is the weigh in.  But I was pleasantly surprised that since my last trip to the doctors in December I lost 12 pounds.  Only thing I changed was I drink only Propel Lemon Water from Gatorade and stopped eating bread. 

Today (Thursday) I went to meet with a Peditrician about a website she wants done.  Shouldn’t be to hard with what she wants done.  She and her husband I find out live right out the street from me.  They are nice people.  Only draw back is I hate being color challenged.  How many freaking colors of pink is there.  (She wants a certain pink color for the background).  I have her business card and it just isn’t matching up right.  Hopefully I can get it close enough that she will like it.  Since she only wants HTML, I am good to go.

Tonight (Thursday) I went for my eval for Aquatic therapy.   I taked to the therapist about putting the Tens Machine on me and he said my insurance now covers a Tens machine.  So next week when I go back. YIPPEE.  I will have my very own Tens machine.  It will be nice to have one at home.  I really like when it sends all that electric current through you.  In case some people do not know what one is, it is, 

Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation is also known as TENS or TNS. It is a passive, non-invasive, non-addictive modality with no known side effects. TENS works to decrease pain perception and may be used to control acute and chronic pain. It may also be used with other treatments such as exercise.

What is TENS?

Transcutaneous (through the skin) electrical nerve stimulation sends a painless electrical current to specific nerves. The current may be delivered intermittently. The mild electrical current generates heat that serves to relieve stiffness, improve mobility, and relieve pain. The treatment is believed to stimulate the body’s production of endorphins or natural pain killers.

How is the treatment administered?

The Physical Therapist applies electrode patches to the skin in the area to be treated. The mild current runs from the stationary stimulator through these patches.

TENS is also used to deliver topical steroid medication through the skin to treat acute episodes of pain. This treatment is called Iontophoresis. The mild current causes the medication to migrate into soft tissue serving to reduce inflammation.

Is the equipment portable?

The portable stimulator is a small battery-operated device that can be worn around the waist. The unit can be turned on or off as needed for pain control.

Although these units can be purchased or rented, a prescription from a physician is required. The Physical Therapist is often the person to teach the patient how to use the device including proper placement of the electrodes for optimal benefits.

To ensure the patient will benefit from TENS, the portable device is used on a trial basis before the patient takes it home for long-term use. Unfortunately, TENS is not always an effective treatment.

Who should not use TENS?

Patients with pacemakers should avoid TENS because the electrical current could interfere with the operation of a pacemaker.
